Henry Lewis

Mr. Henry Lewis was born April 12, 1922 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Garrett Lewis & the late, Mary Jane Williams Lewis. He passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at his residence. He was 99 years of age. Henry had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation Henry had worked as a coal miner. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, squirrel hunting & spending time with his family.

Henry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, loving & devoted wife, Thelma Birchum Lewis, cherished sons, Levi Lewis & Rufus Lewis, cherished daughters, Oma Lewis & Pauline Smead, brothers, Chester, Chrisley & Jesse Lewis, sisters, Martha Bryant, Maude Collins & Molly Barnett & 10 treasured grandchildren. He is survived by his cherished sons, Jimmie Lewis (Betty) & Garrett Lewis, cherished daughters, Mary Clark, Bonnie McDaniel & Joann Palumbo (Bill), 27 treasured grandchildren, 55 treasured great grandchildren & 26 treasured great great grandchildren. Also survived by a host of nieces & nephews other relatives & friends.

Funeral: Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Pastor Wayne Bowling

Interment: Henry Lewis Family Cemetery, Hyden KY

Pallbearers: Daniel Baker, Manuel Baker, Randy Asher, Brandon Adams, Derek Adams, Brian Bowling & Johnny McDaniel

Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 1st at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
