Mrs. Wanda Faye Williams of Smilax, KY. passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY. She was 79 years old. Wanda was born at Big Creek, Ky. (Perry County) on November 7, 1941, the daughter of the late, Gordon Whitaker & Dora Boggs Whitaker Young. Wanda was a loving homemaker, wife, mother & grandmother. She had been a life-long resident of Perry & Leslie Counties. Wanda was affiliated with the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, quilting, cooking and spending time with her family.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her loving & devoted husband, Jack Williams and siblings, Bill Whitaker, Vergie Melton, Pauline Smith, G.B. Whitaker, infant sister, Mary Katherine, Molly Sue Coots & Emma Louise Bingham. She leaves the following relatives surviving; one beloved son, Anthony Williams of Roswell, Georgia, three beloved daughters, Jacqueline Carol Williams (Earnest Hollan) of Wooton, KY., Kimberly Gross (Charles) of Cutshin, KY. and Tammy Bailey (Jerry) of Smilax, KY., four brothers, Joe Daniel Whitaker, Corbin, KY., Ikie Whitaker (Betty), Corbin, KY., Henry Young, Jr. (Dixie), Wooton, KY. and James Young (Johanna), Busy, KY., three sisters, Maureen Johnson, PA., Evelyn Begley (Gary), Cornettsville, KY. and Etta Young, London, KY., three treasured grandsons, Eric Steven Lewis (Megan), Christopher Lewis (Kristen) and Austin Muncy and five treasured great grandchildren, Kelsey, Connor, Colin, Hunter and Nolan. Also a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
All services will be private according to the Governor's mandate.
