Vance Mosley was born April 16, 1938 at Mozelle, KY., the son of the late, Rufus Mosley & Pearl Sizemore Mosley. He passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. He was 81 years old. Vance had been a life-long resident of Mozelle, KY. Vance served honorably for 6 years in the U.S. Army & was a Korean War Veteran. Vance had a very distinguished career as an employee of the U.S. Forest Service & in private business. Vance was retired from the U.S. Forest Service having worked there for 20 years & obtained the title of forester, He also was a retired appraiser, realtor & broker. He was the founder & owner of Ky. Field Service Realty. He was a member of the Lower Beech Fork United Methodist Church at Mozelle, KY. Vance was an avid elk hunter, nascar fan & enjoyed his work. He was a member of the Hyden Masonic Lodge # 664, a Shriner, & former member of the Hyden Lions Club . He especially loved spending time with his treasured grandsons.
Vance was preceded in death by his parents, 2 beloved sons, David Mosley & Douglas Mosley, 1 brother, Dwight Mosley & 1 sister, Linda Nantz. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife, whom he married on December 13, 1961, Elsie Nolan Mosley of Mozelle, KY., 5 treasured grandson, Trey Mosley, Coby Mosley (Brittany), Drew Mosley (Kayla), Gaige Mosley & Garyn Vance Mosley & 4 treasured great grandchildren, Carson Mosley, Chloe Mosley, Tyler Mosley & Jayden Smith, 3 sisters, Jewell Wilson (Herman) of Helton, KY., Ruby Nickerson of Florida & Goldie Curry (Bryant) of North Carolina & 1 brother-in-law, Alvin Nantz, Mozelle, KY. Also a host of nieces, nephews other relatives & friends survive.
Private services for family only.
A memorial service for Mr. Vance Mosley will be announced and conducted at a later date.
