Tonya Gail Davidson

Tonya Gail Davidson, a devoted nurse and beloved mother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born on February 11, 1975, in Beverly, Kentucky, she lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and dedication to the care of others.

Tonya was a proud graduate with an Associate Degree and devoted her professional life to nursing. She served at the Veterans Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, where her friendly, caring, and kind nature profoundly touched the lives of the veterans she so genuinely cared for. Her commitment to her profession was a source of immense pride, reflecting her heartfelt dedication to improving the welfare of those who served their country.

Beyond her career, Tonya’s life was full of warmth and love, centered around her family and her deep affection for her five Great Pyrenees dogs. She found joy and purpose in being actively involved in the lives of her children and grandparents to her cherished grandchildren.

Tonya is survived by her mother, Donna Hoskins; her husband, Autry Dean Davidson; her sons: Charles Brandon Asher (Sarah), Connor Matthew Asher, Steven Davidson (Haley), and Eddie Davidson; daughters: Allie Danyelle Davidson and Alexandria Bailey (Jeff). She also leaves behind her brother, Tony Lee Hoskins, and her grandchildren, Chevelle Davidson, Mayla Davidson, Matthew Bailey, and Zoey Bailey. In addition to these close family members, Tonya’s life was enriched by a host of nieces and nephews who remember her fondly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Hoskins; her nephew, Arlie Jacob Hoskins; and her son, Kendall Davidson, whose memories she treasured dearly.

Tonya Gail Davidson’s legacy is one of unwavering care, profound kindness, and boundless love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her and whose lives she so thoughtfully touched. Her memory will forever remain a guiding light of compassion, strength, and dedication.

A visitation honoring Tonya’s life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Bowens Creek Baptist Church, located at 42 Hill Top Rd, Essie, Kentucky, 40827. The funeral service will follow on May 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the same location.
