Tommy Goins, born on December 27, 1957, in Manchester,, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the Lee County Care & Rehab Center in Beattyville, Kentucky. He was 67 years old. He is remembered as a kind and gentle soul who brought joy to all who knew him.
Tommy cherished the simple pleasures in life. He had a profound love for fishing and often found solace by the water, where he could reflect and enjoy the serene surroundings. He held a special bond with his great niece, Harley, with whom he spent delightful times, creating cherished memories. Additionally, Tommy enjoyed engaging in friendly games of cards with his fellow residents, finding companionship and camaraderie in these moments.
He is survived by his two brothers, Cecil Goins and his wife, Mary, and Lester Goins. Tommy's family treasure the time spent together and the legacy of love he leaves behind. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews who held him close to their hearts, particularly his beloved great niece, Harley.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Goins, Jr. and Lucille Pence Goins, as well as his brother, Berlin Goins, and sisters, including infant sister Mary Rose, Sylvania Jones, and Charlene King. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved Tommy.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories shared and the love that he sowed throughout his life.
The family will have a Memorial service at a later date.
