Tammy Lynn Bruner

Tammy Lynn Morgan Bruner passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the University of Louisville Medical Center at the age of 48. She passed from complications from injuries received in an auto accident on May 6, 2018.  Tammy was born February 13, 1971 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Clay Morgan & the late, Carolyn Smallwood Morgan. She was affliated with the Baptist Church.  She was a correctional officer at Roder's Correction Complex in LaGrange, KY. & also an employee of Bolton's Insurance.  Tammy was very active in local politics & the Republican party.  Tammy was elected chair person for the woman's committee of the Republican Party for the county of Jefferson County and the townshIp.  Tammy enjoyed gun collecting & was an avid member of the N.R.A.  She also enjoyed fishing, gardening & crafts, however her greatest joy in life came from being involved in the lives of her sons and their children.

Tammy was preceded in death by her cherished mother, Carolyn Smallwood Morgan, sister, Kathy Jo Morgan, one great nephew, Lance Rollings, paternal grandparents, Homer & Ollie Couch Morgan & maternal grandparents, Elbert & Zula Rives Smallwood. She leaves the following relatives surviving, beloved father, Clay Morgan & Helen Ruth of Hyden, KY., two beloved sons, Cody Kemp of Jefferson Co., IN. & Brandon Kemp of Clark Co., IN., one cherished sister, Lisa Morgan of Leitchfield, KY., four treasured grandchildren, Morgan, Madeline "Maddie", Kentyn & Kaden Kemp & nephew, Joseph Rollings & great nephew, Isaiah Rollings. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Wednesday, May 1, 2019 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Willie Garrett Morgan

Interment: Garrett Morgan Cemetery (Short Creek Road) Hyden, KY.

Pallbearers: Corey Watson, Jacob Martin, Kyle Meadow, Nick Williams, Cordelle Minch & Doug Collins

Visitation: Tuesday, April 30, 2019 @ 2:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. & Wednesday, 9:00 A.M.-until time of funeral service at the Funeral Home Chapel
