Shirley was born on September 22, 1949, in Hyden, Kentucky to Alfred and Wanda (Couch) Feltner. She graduated from Hyden High School with the Class of 1967.

Shirley was fiercely loyal to the people she cared about and wanted the best for those around her. She loved spending time at her lake home in Sturgis, where some of her happiest memories were made surrounded by family, grandchildren, laughter, and stories shared together. Above all else, the life and love she shared with her late husband, Don, for more than 25 years, was one of the greatest blessings of her life.

Surviving Shirley are her children, Jennifer (David Wuis) Harty of Madison, AL; Don Justen, Jr. (Chris); Tricia Biggerstaff (Russ); Tracy Geml (Ross); and Andy (Teri) Morris of Tekonsha; She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Jessica, Megan, Valerie, Rowan, Holden, Claire, Logan, Jaicey, and Oakley; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Levi; and her brother, Bill (Ruth) Feltner of Burlington, nephew Greg (Mandy) Feltner and her cousin Mary Davis (Sam) of Quincy, who cared for Shirley with extraordinary love, compassion and loyalty.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don Justen; and her daughter, Kimberly Newland-Kosanke. While her family mourns her loss deeply, they find peace in knowing she is reunited with loved ones she missed dearly and is finally at rest.
