Shawn Scott Wilson, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the St. Joseph of London Hospital in London, Kentucky. He was 39 years old. He was born on July 9, 1986, in Harlan, Kentucky. Throughout his life, Shawn brought joy to those around him with his warm spirit and infectious smile.
Shawn dedicated a significant part of his career to FedEx, embodying a strong work ethic and commitment to serving others. Outside of work, he embraced life with a passion for fishing, watching a variety of sports—especially UK basketball—and kayaking. His greatest joy came from spending precious moments with his children, Raegan Kara-Lynn Wilson and Porter Blaze Wilson, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Jones Wilson, who stood by him through every journey. Shawn will also be remembered fondly by his parents, Regina Caldwell and Charles David Caldwell, as well as his maternal grandparents, Wanda and Kenneth Howard, and paternal grandmother, Verda Caldwell. His bond with his siblings—Dustin, Whitney, Shannon, Hope, Dakota, and Chris—was a source of strength and comfort throughout his life. Shawn's vibrant spirit will continue to live on through his numerous nieces and nephews: Austin, Hunter, Waylon, Madisyn, Jaylin, Richard, Avery, Charli, Winston, Kelsey, Ellie, Dominic, and Nathaniel.
He held a special place in his heart for his mother and father-in-law, Carolyn and Elmo Jones, as well as for his uncle, Rick Morgan, and Casey Morgan. Shawn regarded his cousin, Heather Joseph, as a sister, and their bond was one of great affection. His life was also enriched by an array of special friends, including Joe Bob, CJ, Muncy, Rob, and Jody, who will miss his camaraderie and laughter.
Shawn is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thadues Morgan, and his special aunt and uncle, Lisa and Terry Roark. Though Shawn has departed from this world, the impact he made on the lives of those around him is immeasurable. He lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Funeral: Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, Hyden, KY.
