Sarah Day France

Sarah Day France passed away at her residence Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was 78 years old. Sarah was born July 27, 1942 at Letcher Co., KY., the daughter of the late, Bertus Day & Viola Adams Day. Sarah had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation she had worked for Mary Breckinridge Hospital & Hayes Lewis Elementary. Sarah enjoyed flowers, gardening & cooking & especially spending time with her family.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, loving & devoted husband, Felix France, infant son, Felix France Jr., brothers, Raleigh, Ralph, Billie Joe & H.L., sisters, Barbara & Dorothy & cousin that she loved like a sister, Evelyn. She leaves the following relatives surviving; beloved sons, Jerry France & Helen, Cutshin, KY., Randy France, Cutshin, KY. & Joe France, Cutshin, KY., beloved daughters, Darlene Adams & Carlos, Cutshin, KY. & Diane Thomas & Quinton, Cutshin, KY., brothers, Jim Day & Wanda, Whitesburg, KY., David Day & Gay, Whitesburg, KY. & Lonnie Day & Mary, Whitesburg, KY., sisters, Sue Clair & Cecil, Jackson, KY. & Patsy Richards, Richmond, KY., 9 treasured grandchildren & 13 treasured great grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. 

Funeral: Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Larry Lewis

Interment: France Cemetery, Wooton, KY.

Visitation: Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
