Samuel Caldwell

Mr. Samuel Caldwell of Helton, Ky. passed away at his residence on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the age of 77. Sam was born February 9, 1942 at Beverly, KY., the son of the late, Ed & Ida Caldwell. Sam had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he was a former Kentucky State Employer Manager for the Toll Plaza for 25 years, Leslie Co. School Bus Driver for 13 years, Former owner of Thousandsticks Independent Newspaper & an elected Leslie Co. Constable for District 1 for 6 terms having just started his 6th term. Sam was a member of the Upper Middlefork United Methodist Church at Helton, KY. He enjoyed his duties as Constable & his greatest joy was spencing time with his family.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents & one brother, Ronald Sterling Caldwell. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Christine Caldwell of Helton, KY., 2 beloved sons, John Samuel Caldwell & Dawn of Hyden, KY. & Thomas Edward Caldwell & Amy of Helton, KY., 2 brothers, Joe Edward Caldwell & Lola of London, KY. & Douglas Caldwell & Edith of Stinnett, KY.; sister-in-law, Sue Caldwell & 7 treasured grandchildren, Trent Caldwell, Samantha North &  husband Jon, Thomas Caldwell, Tatan Caldwell, Kristen Caldwell, Jaylyn Caldwell & Mallory Caldwell. Also a special friend, Randy Collett & a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, March 8, 2019 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Upper Middlefork United Methodist Church at Helton, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Jack Short, Rev. Robert Gross & Rev. Eugene Roberts

Interment: Honey Branch Cemetery, Helton, KY.

Pallbearers: Trent Caldwell, Thomas Caldwell, Tatan Caldwell, Neal Caldwell, Kenny Gross, James Gross & Benjamin Wilson

Honorary Pallbearers: Randy Collett & Randall Collett

Visitation: Thursday, March 7, 2019 @ 6:00 P.M. at the Church
