Samantha Gail Collins

Samantha Gail Collins, born on November 23, 1985, in Hyden, Kentucky, departed this life on September 2, 2025, at Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was 39 years old. She was a cherished daughter, a devoted mother, and a beloved sister whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Samantha was the daughter of Howard Collins and Janet Eversole Collins, who instilled in her the values of family, hard work, and compassion. From a young age, she developed a love for yard work and gardening, passions that allowed her to connect with nature and find joy in nurturing life. Her hands tended to the earth as lovingly as her heart cared for her family, where she found great fulfillment in spending time with her loved ones.

In addition to being a dedicated mother to her sons, Jacob Riley Combs and Liam Howard Collins, and her daughter, Sophia Davidson, Samantha was the proud sister of Melissa Marcum (Gary), Sabrina Diane Collins, and Sheila Collins. She also delighted in the laughter and exuberance of her many nieces and nephews, who brought vibrancy to her life.

Samantha's legacy is enriched by the memories shared among her family and friends. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Combs and Sherry Joseph, whose absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Her unwavering spirit and dedication to her family will be dearly missed, but her influence will endure in the lives she touched. Samantha's life was a testament to the beauty of devotion, the joy of nurturing, and the importance of togetherness—qualities that will continue to resonate within her family for generations to come.
