James Russell Jones born October 28 1949 departed this life on June 11, 2025. Russell was preceded in death by many of his close and dear family, including has beloved mother Mary Hensley Jones, father Shelby Jones, son Wendell Jones, brothers; Robert "Bob" Jones, Marcus Jones, Emmitt Jones, Sisters: Ruby Jones, Louise Jones, Bernice Hudson, Marie Henegar

He is survived by many loving family and friends: his wife, Essie Sizemore Jones, daughters, Leisa Williams, Rita Bowling & Anthony Mcbride and grandson Wendell Jared Jones & wife, Allison, granddaughter, Amber Hill, Brittany Bowling & Johnathon, Brianna Bowling, Bridget Bowling, Amanda Williams & Cody Osborne: great grandchildren: Kylee Jones, Kolton Jones, Hannah Jones, Kelly Jones, Cameron Bowling, Bison Mosley, Brooklyn Bowling. Brothers: Vernon "Buster" Jones, Merida Jones. Sisters: Nora Fortney & husband, Charles, Lucille Baker, Mollie Napier & husband, Wayne, Helen Jones & husband, James, Martha Osborne & husband, Paul Wayne. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Russell enjoyed many hobbies, he loved spending time with his family, hunting, riding four wheelers and many other things. Your laughter and your kindnes and your love love you shared with your famiy will never fade. But will be missed. Our hearts are broken but we will meet again in that wonderful place called Heaven

Funeral: Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sizerock Baptist Church, Sizerock, KY

Interment: Jones Family Cemetery, Hell-Fer-Certain Road (Ned's Fork), Sizerock, KY.
