Mrs. Ruby M. Cornett was born July 10, 1936 in Leslie County Kentucky. Ruby is the daughter of the late, Caleb Morgan and Laura Howard Morgan. Ruby passed away, Saturday, August 2, 2026 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. She was 90 years old. Ruby had been a resident of Monticello Kentucky for the last 20 plus years. She had spent her life before that residing in Leslie County. Ruby was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was a devoted member of the Living Faith Pentecostal Church in Monticello. Ruby enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, canning, going to church, cooking and especially spending time with her family.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Helen Bailey, Effie Csaszar, Shirley Hubbard and Edna Sue Morgan and brothers, Cova Morgan, Hobert Morgan, George Kent Morgan and Edwin "Muck" Morgan.

She leaves the following relatives surviving: her loving and devoted husband, Roger Cornett, three special sons, Ricky Cornett and wife, Judonna, Roger Dale Cornett and wife, Kim and Johnny Cornett and wife, Cary, one special daughter, Doris Morgan and husband, James, one brother, Johnny Morgan, two sisters, Mary Osborne and Christine Morgan, special sister-in-law, Dora Morgan, nine treasured grandchildren, Brandon Cornett and wife, Monica, Jennifer Cornett and Dylan, Ricky Kyle Cornett and wife, MaKenna, Nikki (Ruby N.) Stevens and husband, Jacob, Samantha Ellis and husband, Warren, Tyler Cornett, Aleigh Cornett, Jacob Cornett and Caleb Cornett and twelve treasured great-grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral: Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Kentucky

Minister: Kelvin Upchurch

Interment: Morgan-Begley Cemetery, Hyden, Kentucky

Pallbearers: Brandon, Ricky Kyle, Jacob, Tyler, Caleb, Jacob and Warren

Visitation: Wed. Aug. 5th at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
