Rita Mae Lewis Wilcox

Mrs. Rita Mae Lewis Wilcox born September 18, 1958 in Leslie County Kentucky the daughter of the late, James H. "Jimmie" Lewis & Minnie Joseph Lewis. Rita passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Signature Healthcare in Georgetown, Kentucky. Rita had been a resident of Georgetown for the past four years.  She spent most of her years in Leslie County & a few years in Perry County. By occupation Rita was a former tax preparer. She enjoyed being outdoors, cooking & especially loved spending time with her grandsons.

Rita Mae was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jimmie & Minnie Joseph Lewis & four brothers, Callie, James, Dwayne & John L. Lewis. She leaves the following relatives surviving; two cherished sons, Charles N. Wilcox III & wife, Jennifer, Georgetown, Kentucky and Donovan Hommes, Tucson, Arizona, one brother, William Lewis, Hyden, Kentucky, three sisters, Marjorie Napier, Florida, Mary Farler, Illinois and Rhoda Kilburn, Wooton, Kentucky & two treasured grandsons, Chazz Wilcox and Braxton Wilcox. Also a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Monday, January 9, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Kentucky

Ministers: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and Greg Sizemore

Interment: Lewis Family Cemetery (Levi Branch) Smilax, Kentucky

Visitation: Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
