Ricky Lynn Sizemore, 69, of Elk Creek, Kentucky, passed away on September 17, 2026. He was born on September 7, 1957, in Hyden, Kentucky.He was a hardworking man who spent over 30 years working as an underground coal miner, taking pride in providing for his family and doing a job that demanded strength, determination, and dedication. His work was an important part of his life, but it was the people he loved and the things that brought him joy that truly defined him.He was an artist at heart and enjoyed expressing himself through his artwork. He also loved sports, both playing them and watching them. A proud Kentucky Wildcats fan, he could always find a reason to keep up with Kentucky sports and cheer for his team. He also loved watching movies and could spend countless hours enjoying a good story on the screen.Those who knew him will especially remember his sense of humor and his ability to “cut up” with people. He loved joking around, giving people a hard time, and making those around him laugh. He had a way of bringing personality and fun into even the simplest moments, leaving behind plenty of memories that will continue to make his family smile.He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Donna Corum Sizemore, his son, Ricky Dewayne Sizemore, five brothers, Denver Dean Sizemore and Lisa, Tony Sizemore, Steve Sizemore, Doug Sizemore, and Marshall Sizemore and Patty, and one sister, Sandy Sizemore of Manchester, along with other family members and friends who loved him dearly.He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Norma Jean Sizemore of Bear Branch, Kentucky.His life was filled with hard work, family, laughter, art, sports, movies, and countless everyday moments that became cherished memories. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the people he touched will keep a part of him with us always.Rest in peace. You worked hard, laughed often, and left us with more memories than we could ever count. You will be loved and missed forever.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home. 

The funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home, with Andrew Farmer and Dean Lawson officiating. 

Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Manchester Memorial Gardens.
