Ralph Shannon Wilder passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 45 years old. Shannon was born on January 8, 1977 at Hyden, Ky the son of the late Ralph Wilder and Diane Whitehead Sizemore. By occupation Shannon was a coal miner and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. Shannon was affiliated with the Church of God. Some of his hobbies included fishing, art, using dremel tools, playing cards, raising chickens and chicken fighting. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Wilder, maternal grandparents: Clifford and Virginia Whitehead, paternal grandparents: Howard and Effie Wilder, one uncle: Randy Whitehead. He leaves surviving the following relatives: his loving and devoted mother: Diane Whitehead Sizemore and (Marcus) of Essie, KY, one cherished son: Dozer Wilder of Essie, KY, four cherished daughters: Patience Wilder of Wooton, KY, Jasmine Wilder of Wooton, KY, Kaden Caldwell of Hyden, Courtney North of Hyden, KY, two brothers: Marcus Ray Sizemore of Big Creek, KY and Frankie Collett. Special friends: Nicole Thatcher, Amanda Bowling, Becky Stevens, Nikki Allen, Brandon Mosley and Jimmy R. Simpson. Shannon is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
