Rachel Buckner Mosley, born  on April 1, 1955, in Clay County, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who embraced life with love and enthusiasm.

Rachel was cherished by her family, particularly her beloved son, Shannon Mosley and his wife, Ashley Simpson. Rachel took immense pride in her two treasured grandchildren, James Hearn and fiance Shea Price, and Michael Dwayne Mosley, with whom she loved to spend her time. Rachel's zest for life was reflected in her various hobbies and interests, which included flower gardening, weed-eating, decorating, and treasure hunting at yard sales. Her nurturing spirit was evident in how she cared for her garden and those around her, as she found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Buckner, and sister, Betty Wagers, who along with her close friends, Pauline Howard and Joyce Strunk, will remember Rachel's kindness and infectious laughter.

Rachel was preceded in death by her mother, Ila Buckner; husband, Lonnie Mosley; daughter, Tracy Mosley; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Viola and Dan Mosley. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memories will forever remain a part of her legacy.

In this difficult time, Rachel's family and friends find solace in the love she shared and the many lives she touched throughout her journey. She will be dearly missed and remembered for her unwavering love, resilience, and spirit.
