Rachel Collins Gilbert

Ms. Rachel Collins Gilbert passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. She was 67 years old. Rachel was born February 28, 1957 in Hyden, KY, the daughter of the late Charlie Collins and Nellie Young Collins. By occupation Rachel was a homemaker. She was affiliated with the Baptist Faith and had been a lifelong  resident of Clay County, KY. Some of her hobbies included, crochet, sitting on her porch and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Nellie Collins. One brother, Clyde Collins. Three sisters, Geneva Isom, Pauline Hensley and Wilma Rice. Ms. Rachel Gilbert leaves the following relatives surviving, one daughter, Janie Marie Caldwell and husband Chris of Manchester, KY, two brothers, Charles Collins and wife Linda Colleen of London, KY, Clarence Collins and wife Stephanie of London, KY, seven sisters, Rosa Lee Couch and husband Kenneth of OH, Helen Gay and husband Jack of Sizerock, KY, Mary Smith and husband Terry of Harlan, KY Brenda Gay and husband Ronnie of Sizerock, KY Carol Hensley of Oneida, KY, Vickie Butler and husband Richard of Oneida, KY, Pamela Brock and husband Matthew of Helton, KY and a host of treasured nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral: Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Panco Church, Oneida, KY.
Minster: Rev. Jerry Rice
Interment: Collins Family Cemetery, Oneida,KY.
