Polly Jean Napier Hacker

Polly Jean Napier Hacker, a devoted homemaker and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at her residence in Hyden, Kentucky. She was 75 years old. Born on October 19, 1950, in Perry County, Kentucky, Polly filled her life with love, joy, and dedication to her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Polly was known for her nurturing spirit and her passion for flower gardening, which brought beauty to her home. She had a particular fondness for holiday decorations, always ensuring that festive spirits were abundant. In addition to her hobbies, she enjoyed shopping and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

Polly leaves behind a close-knit family, comprised of her two beloved daughters, Tonya Asher and her husband, Hershel, and Kandy Adams and her husband, Roger. She is also survived by one special brother, Joe Napier, and two special sisters, Mechalene Roberts and Sue Osborne. Polly was a proud grandmother to three treasured grandchildren, Ariana, Alexia, and Josey, as well as one treasured great-grandchild, Judson Reid. The warmth of her love extended to her special nephews and nieces, including Rodney, Merlene, Jeff, Sheri, and Patty, along with a host of other nephews and nieces who will miss her dearly.

Her circle of friends was equally important in her life, as she shared many cherished moments with her special friends Jo, Wendy, Dianne, Dylan and Paul. Polly’s kindness and generosity will be remembered by her extensive network of relatives and friends.

Polly was preceded in death by her loving parents, Cleon Napier and Jessie Jones Napier, and her partner, Ray Napier. She was also predeceased by six brothers: Raymond, Wiley, Carlos Joe, David, J.C., and Donald Dewey, as well as three sisters: Merlene, Ora, and Patsy.

Polly Jean Napier Hacker’s legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Funeral: Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Interment: Sizemore Cemetery, Dryhill Road, Hyden, KY.

Pallbearers: Josey Begley, Dylan Collett, Roger Adams, Hershel Asher, Cody Osborne, Chase Osborne, Cameron Roberts, Jeff Roberts and Masion Lewis
