Phyllis Johnson

Phyllis Maggard Johnson passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY. She was 69 years old. Phyllis was born April 28, 1951 in Leslie Co., KY., the daughter of the late, Omer Maggard & Mary Gross Maggard. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. Phyllis was affiliated with the Church of God. She enjoyed traveling & spending time with her grandsons.

She is preceded in death by her parents & mother-in-law, Cora Johnson. She is survived by her loving & devoted husband of 47 years, Danny Johnson whom she was united in marriage to on February 16, 1973 , Smilax, KY., 1 beloved daughter, Sherry Fugate & Gerald, Smilax, KY., 1 brother, Carl Maggard, London, KY., 1 sister, Virginia Melton, Smilax, KY., 3 treasured grandsons, Austin Goins & special girlfriend, Kaitlyn Bussell, Gavin Fugate & Dylan Fugate, sister-in-law, Debbie Johnson & a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, August 28, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Harry Kemper & Rev. Clifton Adams

Interment: Ky. Veterans Cemetery Southeast, Hyden, KY.

Pallbearers: Austin Goins, Dylan Fugate, Dwayne Johnson, Gerald Fugate & Doug Bussell

Visitation: Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
