Philip Clayton Asher, a beloved member of the Hyden community, passed away peacefully at his residence in Hyden, Kentucky, on June 21, 2025. Born on July 14, 1967, in Hyden, Phillip was known for his kind spirit and warm personality.
Philip dedicated a considerable part of his professional life to the Leslie County Detention Center, where he was valued as a former employee. His commitment to service and community was evident throughout his career, and he touched many lives along the way.
In addition to his career, Philip had a passion for gaming, music, and connecting with others through the phone and internet. These interests brought him joy and camaraderie, creating lasting memories with friends and loved ones.
Philip is survived by his devoted parents, Robert Asher and Jennifer Bowling Asher, and a host of cousins and friends who fondly remember him for his generous heart and infectious laughter. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Edmond Asher.
As we remember Philip we celebrate the love he shared and the positive impact he had on those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He is deeply missed.
