Pearlie Simpson Turner, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, at her residence in Yeaddiss, Kentucky. She was 76 years old. Born on January 2, 1950, in Warbranch, Kentucky, Pearlie lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a deep connection to her family and community.
Throughout her valued career, Pearlie devoted herself to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Veteran's Center, where her compassionate care left a lasting impression on many. She also worked as an Emergency Medical Technician, a role in which her quick thinking and calm demeanor provided comfort and aid in times of urgent need. Her professional life exemplified her selfless nature and commitment to helping those in need.
Pearlie was a woman who cherished the simple joys of life. She found profound happiness in the outdoors, often spending time fishing, sitting on her porch, or enjoying the serenity of the lake. Most of all, she treasured moments spent with her family, which brought her immeasurable joy throughout her lifetime.
She is lovingly remembered and survived by her husband, Roger Turner, who stood by her side through all seasons of life. Her daughter, Janie Williams (Pearl), continues Pearlie’s legacy of warmth and love. Pearlie’s brother, Walter Simpson, Jr., and sister, Jean Smith, stand nearby in remembrance and support.
Pearlie’s presence will be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren: Crystal Lankford (Chad), Jennifer Smith (Bryant), Megan Williams (Ethan), Courtney Williams, Dillon Lankford, and Amanda Lankford. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Dustin Joseph, Jacob Joseph, and Maverick Smith, and a great-great-grandmother to Christy Joseph. Alongside these close family members, a host of other relatives and friends also survive her, all touched by her kindness and spirit.
She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Walter Simpson and Cinda Brown Simpson, her son Roger Dale Lankford, brothers Henry and Frank, and sisters Vernie, Nancy, and Phoebe. Their memories are lovingly held in the hearts of those who knew Pearlie.
Pearlie Turner’s life was a testament to dedication both within her family and her professional community. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. Her gentle spirit and unwavering love leave a lasting imprint on the lives she touched. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the enduring affection of those who loved her.
