Pearl Wayne Spurlock

Pearl Wayne Spurlock born March 21, 1976 in Hyden, Kentucky, the son of Eddie Spurlock and the late, Judy Couch Spurlock. He passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 46 years old. He had been a life-long resident of Bear Branch, Kentucky. By occupation Pearl Wayne was a coal miner. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, football, raising animals and especially loved spending time with his family.

Pearl Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Judy Couch and special brother, Eddie Wayne Spurlock. He leaves the following relatives surviving; his beloved father, Eddie Spurlock and Brenda, Bear Branch, KY, loving and devoted wife, T.J. Spurlock, Bear Branch, KY, cherished son, Preston Spurlock and Leah, Wooton, KY, stepsons, Logan Calhoun and Joey Calhoun, Hazard, KY, step-daughter, Laikyne Calhoun, Whitesburg, KY, special sister, Christina Spurlock, Saul, KY, treasured grandchildren, Landon, Owyn and Ava, special aunt, Donna K. Jones and Terry, special uncle, Bill Couch, special nephew, Tucker Spurlock, other nephews, Tanner Spurlock and Kelsey, Dalton Spurlock & Lexie and Trever Gibson and special cousins, Billie Lynn Sizemore and Dustin. Also a host of other relatives and friends survive.  

Funeral: Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Couch's Fork Church of God, Bear Branch, KY.

*Day of the Funeral Pearl Wayne requested all coal miners he worked with to wear mining caps & lights and pass by the casket*

Ministers: Ted Couch, Tim Finley, John Romer, Wayne Bowling and Ronnie Melton

Interment: Pearl Wayne Spurlock Family Cemtery, Bear Branch, KY.

Pallbearers: Terry Dean Jones, Dustin Wayne Sizemore, Preston Spurlock, Dalton Spurlock, Tanner Spurlock, Trever Gibson, Joey Calhoun and David Hawkins

Visitation: Friday, July 15, 2022 at 5:00 P.M. and Saturday, July 16th at the Church
