Pearl "Coalfoot" Sizemore, born on December 11, 1937, in Hyden, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence in Hyden on July 15, 2026. He was 88 years old. Pearl’s life spanned nearly nine decades, marked by dedication, resilience, and a deep love for his family and friends.

Pearl was born to Will and Mollie Sizemore, both of whom preceded him in death. Throughout his life, Hyden was not just his birthplace; it was the center of his world—a place where family roots ran deep and lifelong connections flourished.

Pearl was cherished and is survived by his beloved wife, Gwendolyn Begley Sizemore, with whom he shared many precious years. Their enduring partnership was an example of devotion and support, enriching the lives of those around them.

Pearl is also remembered fondly by his daughter, Amanda Smith & Scottie, and grandchildren Natasha Smith & Wesley, Robert Brock & Kaitlyn, and Ethan Smith. The joy he took in watching his family grow was evident, especially in his pride and affection for his great-grandchildren: Hayley, Jonica, Daegan "Dragon", Bristol, Kayla, Mason, and Rosalie, each of whom brought him immense happiness in his later years.

His siblings Otis Sizemore, Hallie Clemons, and Emily Goff remain to honor his memory and recall the bonds of kinship they shared. Pearl also leaves behind a dear friend, Larry Collins.

Pearl’s life was also shaped by loss, and he is reunited in rest with his parents; his children Peggy Sizemore, Hobert Ray Sizemore, and James Sizemore; and his brothers George Sizemore, Chris Collins, and Bobby Brigman. Their memories, together with that of Pearl, form a lasting legacy in the hearts of all those who knew and loved them.

Pearl "Coalfoot" Sizemore’s life was a testament to enduring love, steadfastness, and the ties of family and friendship. The stories, lessons, and care he offered will continue to inspire all who knew him.

The community, family, and friends of Pearl "Coalfoot" Sizemore join together in honoring his long, meaningful life and the lasting impact he has left on all who were fortunate to know him.
