Mr. Oria Adams was born June 29, 1933 in Wendover, Kentucky. Oria was the son of the late, Marion Adams and the late, Alabama Coots Adams. Oria passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital, Hyden, Kentucky. He was 90 years old. Oria had been a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a retired self-employed carpenter. He helped build many businesses of Leslie County today. Such as Mary Breckinridge Hospital, Dairy Queen, Hardee's and the Nixon Center to name a few. Oria was affiliated with the Church of Christ. Oria was respected by his family & friends. He enjoyed woodworking, rabbit hunting, fishing, loved horses & his dog, Peanut, watching westerns, sitting on porch with his dogs looking at the river and most of all enjoyed time with his family.

Oria was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marion & Alabama Coots Adams, loving & devoted wife, Mary Helen Bowling Adams, cherished children, Barbara Patterson and Randy Bowling, sons-in-law, Herman Roberts and Donald Patterson, brothers, Willard, Don, Lonnie and Arthur Adams & sisters, Fern Chappell, Verda Gross and Janice Griffith. He leaves the following relatives surviving; cherished children, David Adams & Teresa, Hyden, KY, Sandra Roberts, Williamsburg, KY, Sue Smith & Barney, Hyden, KY, Judy Adams, Texas, Joyce Pence, Lexington, KY. and Aggie Hubbard & John, Hazard, KY & sisters, Nancy Howard & Benny, Daisy North, Stinnett, KY, Shirley Callahan, Wooton, KY and Annette Adams, California. Also a host of treasured grandchildren & great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY

Minister: Pastor Harry Kemper

Interment: Bowling-Adams Cemetery, Hyden, KY

Visitation: Friday, Feb. 23rd at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
