Mrs. Opsie Collett born August 27, 1926, departed this life on  Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Dover Manor in Georgetown, KY. She was 94 years old.  Opsie was born in Hyden, Ky., the daughter of the late Dennis Fields and Susie Couch Fields.  Opsie enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting & was an avid, devoted die hard University of Ky. sports fan.  Opsie's greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was known to say " as long as I have a home you will have a roof over your head." She was always willing to sacrifice for her family.  She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.  Mrs. Opsie Collett was preceded in the death by her loving and devoted husband, Troy Collett, her cherished son; Corbett Collett, cherished daughter; Betty Simpson, & cherished grandson; Dustin Collett.  Mrs. Opsie Collett leaves the following relatives surviving: two beloved sons; Dwayne Collett of London, Ky., Denver Collett of Georgetown, Ky., three beloved daughters; Mary Scott of Richmond, Indiana, Glenda Philpot and Clay of London, Ky., Nancy Martin of Carrollton, Ky., treasured grandchildren; Luke Scott, Anna Martin, Amy Oliver, Jason Simpson, Benjamin Collett, Crystal Barnes, treasured, great-grandchildren; Kelly Baker, Kendra Baker & a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.     You may send your condolences to the family @dwaynewalkerfuneralhome.com
