Melissa Lewis

                                                                  "It is well with my soul"

Melissa Lewis born June 23, 1970 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Larry Lewis and Margie Gross Lewis. She passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her residence at the age of 51. Melissa had been a lifelong resident of Leslie Co., KY. By occupation she was retired from ARH where she had worked in clinic billing. Melissa was a member of the Church of God in Christ Jesus at Beatty Branch where she was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed reading and especially loved spending time with her cherished daughter and treasured grandson. 

Melissa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Fariston and Verda Gross and paternal grandparents; Willie & Nannie Lewis. She leaves the following relatives surviving; her beloved parents, Larry and Margie Gross Lewis, Yeaddiss, KY., one cherished daughter ,Ashley Amburgey and Travis, Winchester, KY. one treasured grandson, Joshua Caleb Lane Amburgey and one special sister, Pamela Baker and Thomas, Wooton, KY. Also a  host of treasured nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews & other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of God in Christ Jesus, Beatty Branch

Minister: Pastor Eugene Baker

Interment: Fariston Gross Cemetery - Yeaddiss, KY.

Visitation: Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church
