Matilda "Sira" Griffith

April 27, 1950 — February 10, 2020

Matilda Sira Griffith of Smilax, KY. passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at the Well's Hospice Center at the age of 69. Matilda was born at Hyden, KY on April 27, 1950 the daughter of the late Charlie Griffith and the late Cora Griffith. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY. Matilda was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ for many years. She was well known for her accomplished quilting, gardening, yard sales and attending church. But her fondest joys came from spending time with her family. Matilda was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Elva Lewis and Gladys Shepherd, and by one brother: Sie Griffith. She leaves surviving the following relatives: her loving and devoted daughter: Barbara Griffith of Smilax, KY, special great, great nieces and nephews: Aubrey Grace Lewis, Carlee MaKenna Brewer, Elias James Lewis, Skylar Lizebeth Stidham and Rydar Stidham. FUNERAL SERVICES: 1:00 P.M. - Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY

OFFICIATING MINISTER: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis

VISITATION: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 at the church.

PLACE OF INTERMENT: Full Gospel Church Cemetery at Smilax, KY

PALLBEARERS: Arnold Shepherd, Jr. Ricky Lewis, Homer Lewis, Donald Wayne Baker, Wayne Glover, Jarod Caldwell, Will Madden and Mickey Shackleford
