Mary Ellen Couch Horton

Mrs. Mary Ellen Couch Horton passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at her residence at Hyden, KY. She was 83 years of age. Mary was born September 13, 1938 at Jason, KY the daughter of the late, Wiley Couch and the late, Dallie Napier Couch. By occupation Mary was a business owner & operator of Family Home Care. She was a member of the Hyden Church of God & the Eastern Star. She was a certified instructor for doll making. Mary enjoyed doll making, gardening, wood-working, painting, fishing and loved spending time with her family.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wiley and Dallie Couch, husband, Robert "Bob" Horton, cherished son, Jeffery Allen Mosley, treasured great granddaughter, Emma Caroline Pace, a infant sister, Jessie and brothers, Clarence, Van, James, Albert and Gaston "Frog" Couch. She leaves the following relatives surviving; cherished daughter, Bridget Fleming and husband, Douglas, Hyden, KY, brother, Astor Couch & special friend, Carol, Poquoson, VA, four treasured grandchildren, Landon Allen Mosley, Amberly Dicey & husband, Darrell, Brady Fleming & wife, Sammie and Felecia Mosley, seven treasured great grandchildren, Zao, Hadessa, Shade, Isaac, Emerson, Ian and Lukas, special nephew, Marty Couch, special friend, Susie Gay and special grandson-in-law, Tommy Pace. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. 

Funeral: Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Rev. Clifton Adams

Interment: Hurricane Cemetery, Hyden, KY.

Visitation: Sunday, March 6th at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel

Pallbearers: Brady Fleming, Darrell Dicey, Marty Couch, and Tommy Pace.
