Mrs. Mary Lou Napier Gibson was born, December 20, 1952 in Hyden, Kentucky. Mary Lou is the daughter of the late, Frank Woods and the late, Pauline Napier. She passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, Kentucky. Mary Lou was 71 years old. Mary Lou was a life long resident of Hyden, Kentucky. By occupation she was a retired PVA deputy at the Leslie County PVA office. Mary Lou was a member of the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church. She loved going to Church, worshiping the Lord. She tried to take care of everyone else. Many people depended on her for Godly wisdom. Mary Lou had a unselfish love. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children & grandchildren. Mary Lou enjoyed crafts, shopping (especially Hobby Lobby), collecting nut crackers and she loved genealogy. 

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frank Woods & Pauline Napier, loving & devoted husband, Bobby Ray Gibson, cherished son, Paul Kevin Napier, brother, Donnie Gibson and infant sister, Brenda Napier. She leaves the following relatives surviving; cherished son, Eddie Carl Gibson & Sharon of Bear Branch, KY, cherished daughters,Teri Collins & Archie of London, KY and Annie Bentley & Bill of London, KY, brother, Michael Napier of Hyden, KY, sisters, Martha Larabee and Teresa Sizemore both of Hyden, KY, treasured grandchildren, Jordan Collins, Peyton Collins, Kevin Napier & Casey and Makiah Bentley and treasured great grandchildren, Paisley, Jenna, Levi, Emery and Adaleigh. Also a host of nephews, neices, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, Hyden, KY

Ministers: Ted Couch, Andrew Hamlin, Ryan Osborne and Danny Napier

Interment: Jack Napier Cemetery, Thousandsticks, KY

Pallbearers: Peyton Collins, Bill Bentley, Archie Collins, Brandon Bowling, Ben Mosley and Keith Hensley

Visitation: Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. & Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. at the Church
