Elaine Brewer

Mary Elaine Begley Brewer, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. She was 56 years old. Elaine was born October 27, 1963 in Hazard, KY. the daughter of the late, Bob Begley & Betty Melton Begley. Elaine had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co.

By occupation Elaine was a teacher, she taught children in her home. She had such a compassion for children. She gave piano lessons from her home. Elaine also had worked for the "Well" Coffee Shop, the Hyden Citizens Bank & W.B. Muncy School. She loved going to the library and doing story time for the children. Elaine was passionate about giving back to the local community, enjoyed helping in her community with different events, especially all the relay for life events & the Christmas Parade where her & Ray was Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus.

Elaine loved animals, especially her fur babies. She was preceded in death by her beloved Eunice and leaves behind Bear, Sister, Sweetie and Snoopy. Elaine also enjoyed going to Church.  She was a faithful member of the Wooton Presbyterian Church EPC where she served as an Elder. She enjoyed cooking & reading. The most important person in her life was her son, Robert & spending time with him was what she enjoyed most. 

Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bob Begley & Betty Melton Begley, her loving & devoted husband, Ray Brewer, her mother-in-law, Wilma Brewer & a host of aunts, uncles & cousins.

She leaves the following relatives surviving; her beloved son, Robert Barton Brewer & a host of aunts, uncles & cousins.

A gathering for family and friends will be held at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Monday, September 28, 2020 at 12:00 Noon with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 P.M.

Ministers: Rev. Greg Whitaker & Rev. Merle Caudill

Interment: Brewer Cemetery at Wooton, KY.
