Mary Ann Day Boggs

Mary Ann Day Boggs of Yeaddiss, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023. She passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. Mary Ann was 76 years old. She was born December 30, 1946 at Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of the late, Zora Day and the late Mollie Kilburn Day. Mary Ann was a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation Mary Ann had worked as a nurse aide for Home Health for 16 years. She was a devoted member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ for 51 years. Mary Ann enjoyed reading her Bible, going to Church, flower gardening and taking care of her three cats, Baby, Grayson & Muffin & one dog, Murphy.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Zora Day and Mollie Kilburn Day, husband, Lonnie Boggs, one cherished son, Rick Boggs, one sister, Rose Hornsby (Vernon), twin brother, Willie Day, one other brother, Ray Day (Mary), one nephew, Jeff Day & two great nieces, Rhonda and Krista. She is survived by her one cherished daughter & best friend, Vicky Boggs, Yeaddiss, KY, one brother, Dennis Day (Barb), Oxford, Ohio, one sister-in-law who was like a sister, Thelma Day, Smilax, KY, five nieces, Gail Willis (Andy), Rita McDade (Larry), Jan Jarvis (Dave), Judy Ramsey (Steve) and Scarlett Day, five nephews, Doug Day (Ginnie), Gary Day (Freda), Anthony Day (Diane), Timothy Day (Becky) and Kevin Day (Candice), a host of great nieces & nephews, special friends, Pastor Billy Joe Lewis, brother-in-law, Junior Boggs (Mae), Phylliss Coots, Swannie Rice, Ruth Elenes, Yvonne Pennington and Eyvonne Coots, who was like a daughter. 

Services:

Funeral: Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Full Gospel Church, Smilax, KY.

Minister: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis

Interment: Full Gospel Church Cemetery, Smilax, KY.

Visitation: Saturday March 4th at 11:00 A.M. at the Church
