Martha Bailey

Mrs. Martha Bailey born March 2, 1944 departed this life on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the St. Joseph Hospital, London.  She was 78 years old & a resident of Hyden, Ky. Martha was born at Hyden, Ky the daughter of the late John Simpson and the late Sally Hoskins Simpson. By occupation she was a Home Health and Hospice Nurse's Aide.  She enjoyed many hobbies which included sewing, crafts, especially making blankets, puzzles, reading, and gardening. But she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.  Martha was a member of the McIntosh Church of God at Wooton, KY. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her loving and devoted husband: Andrew  "Andy" Bailey, three brothers: Joe Simpson, George Simpson and Wiley Simpson, one sister: Ruth Fouts. Survivors include her loving sons: Anthony Bailey and Savannah Hill of London, KY,  George Bailey and Jennifer Feltner of Wooton, KY, one sister: Brenda Hannah of Texas, 9 grandchildren, Kevin Bailey, Michael Bailey, James Bailey, Danyail Bailey, Contessa Cawood, Bethany Campbell, George Bailey, Emanuel Feltner & Madison Benton and 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  also survived by her special friend and caregiver: Ashley Day Rohr. and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. VISITATION: 6:00-9:00 P.M. - Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 at the funeral home chapel.
