Marlena Marie North

Marlena Marie North passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. She was 75 years old. Marlena was born June 2, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late, Hank Jacobi & Florence Chapek Jacobi. Marlena had been a resident of Leslie Co. for the past 38 years. By occupation she had worked as a cook at Stinnett Elementary. Marlena was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, spending time with her family & she loved her dogs, Lucky & Bella.

Marlena was preceded in death by her parents & brother, Michael Jacobi. She leaves the following relatives surviving; her loving & devoted husband, Douglas "Bob" North, Stinnett, KY., 2 brothers, Hank Jacobi, Jr. Illinois & Eddie Jacobi, Illinois & 1 sister, Linda Baumeisier, Illinois. Also a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, April 23, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY. 

Ministers: Rev. Eugene "Friday" Roberts, Rev. Robert Lee Hacker, Rev. Stephen Hacker & Lori Helfrich

Interment: North Family Cemetery, (Knob Lick Road) Stinnett, KY.

Visitation: Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
