Lynn Stewart, a beloved family man and retired truck driver, passed away peacefully at his residence in Mozelle, Kentucky, on January 5, 2026. He was 73 years old. Born on August 17, 1952, in Manchester, Kentucky, he led a life rich with memories, laughter, and love.

Lynn dedicated many years to his career as a truck driver, embodying the spirit of hard work and resilience. He embraced the call of the open road, yet his heart was always anchored at home, where he cherished the time spent with his family. Lynn had a profound appreciation for the outdoors; he found joy in riding side-by-sides and relished every moment spent in nature’s embrace.

His devotion to family was unwavering, and he takes with him the love of his wife, Bernadine Asher Stewart, sons, Jerry Lynn Stewart and wife Kimberly, Gary Wayne Nantz and Cathy & Steven Hoskins and Cristy and daughter, Donna Gail Hubbard and husband, Richard. Lynn is also survived by his brothers, David Stewart, Leo Stewart and wife, Jeannie, and sisters, Ann Owens and husband Jerry, Carol Napier, and Rachel Sizemore. His family extends to his sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Shell and husband Gary, as well as brothers-in-law, Gary Lynn Asher and wife Sheryl, and Larry Gene Asher and wife Earlene.

Lynn was a proud grandfather, adored by his grandchildren: Kassidee Martin, Bryant Nantz and Kendra, Alyssa Seal and Cody, Arianna Hope Looney and Zach, Carrington Mercedes Estep and Sammy Jr. Estep, II, Katie Hubbard and Adrian, and Courtney Smith and Blake. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Kyleena Gail Estep, Grayson Sammy Estep, Abigaile Martin, Jude Martin, Wyatt Nantz, Brinley Nantz, Scarlett Looney, Rayder, Acen, Daxxin, Jeriko, Huxen, and Lenyx Seal, Brynlee Hubbard, with yet another great-grandchild on the way.

Lynn Stewart is preceded in death by his parents, Manford Stewart and Opha Grubb Smith, his step-father, Ernest Smith, along with his brothers, Ledford Stewart, and Ernest Boone Smith, Jr., sister-in-law Rebecca Stewart, and grandson-in-law Trenton Martin.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will be forever remembered by his family, including a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who were touched by his kindness and outgoing spirit. Lynn's life, characterized by his unwavering commitment to his loved ones and his passion for the great outdoors, will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Funeral: Monday, January 12, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
