Lonnie Dean Morgan

Mr. Lonnie Dean Morgan was born April 27, 1963 in Hyden, KY. He was the son of Betty Lou Hoskins Morgan & the late, Stanley Morgan. Lonnie passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital in Hyden, KY. He was 60 years old. Lonnie had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY. By occupation he was a retired coal miner having worked as a electrician for 36 years. Lonnie enjoyed spending time with Stephanie, Dalton, Shawn, Scott, Pamela & his loving & devoted wife, Sonya Jo. Lonnie enjoyed every single moment spent with his family. His wife, kids and Dalton was his whole world. Lonnie loved going to every baseball & football game with JoJo to watch Dalton play. He loved spending time with his Mom & Dad, his sisters and loved working in the garage with his brother Darryl.

Lonnie Dean Morgan was preceded in death with his beloved father, Stanley Morgan, beloved grandparents, Earl & Viola Morgan and Allen & Sudie Hoskins and special sister-in-law, Patricia Hoskins. He leaves the following relatives surviving; beloved mother, Betty Lou Morgan, Stinnett, KY., loving & devoted wife, Sonya Jo Morgan, Stinnett, KY., one cherished daughter, Stephanie Morgan Hoskins, & husband Shawn, Hoskinston, KY. one cherished son, Phillip Scott Hoskins & wife Pamela, Hyden, KY., one special brother, Darryl Morgan & wife, Jessica, Stinnett, KY., one special sister, Sherry Sexton & husband, Eston, Stinnett, KY.,  his #1 cherished "GS", Dalton Shawn Hoskins, one special brother-in-law, Charles Maggard, two special sisters-in-law, Audrey Vanover & Slade and Beth Maggard, treasured nieces & nephews, Kyle Sizemore & Tiffany, Cody Sizemore, Ramona Sexton, Gunner Sizemore, Greyson Sizemore, Serenity Vanover, Elvin Vanover, Vincent Vanover and special nieces & nephews, Courtney, Ryan, Gavin, Reed, Carter, Austin and Greyson. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stinnett Gap Church of God, Stinnett, KY.

Interment: Morgan Family Cemetery, Stinnett, KY.

Officiating Ministers: Rev. William "Hubby" Bowling and Rev. Geoffery Roberts

Pallbearers: Darryl Morgan, Dalton Hoskins, Shawn Hoskins, Scott Hoskins, Kyle Sizemore and Cody Sizemore

Visitation: Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. at the Church
