Elijah "Lige" Couch

Mr. Elijah "Lige" Couch age 92 of Hyden, KY passed away at his residence Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Elijah was born June 28, 1929 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, James Mannon Couch and the late, Eva Bowling Couch. He was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. Elijah was a member of the Jim Sizemore Holiness Church and Hal's Fork Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed going to Church, working and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Mannon & Eva Bowling Couch, his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Sarah Jane Sizemore Couch, cherished son, Tex Mason Couch, treasured grandchildren, Gail Williams, H.C. "Shorty" Williams and Douglas Causey, treasured great grandson, Nicholas Couch, brothers, Ballard, John M., Henry, Floyd, Stueben, Walter, Bige, Joseph R. and Lee and sisters, Gracie, Betty and Dorey. He is survived by one cherished son, Wilkie Lee Couch & wife, Carrie, Hyden, KY, one cherished daughter, Wanda Gail Couch Ellis & husband, Jeff, Hyden, KY, treasured grandchildren, Elijah Causey, Roger Lee Couch & Christy, Levon Widner & husband, Rusty and Angie Williams & Mike, treasured great grandchildren, James, Alex, Christopher, Edmond, Lee, Pleas, Gabriel, Bobby, Sarah, Jessica, Morgan, Byrson and Charlee Grace and three treasured great great grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. 

Funeral: Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hal's Fork Pentecostal Church, Hyden, KY.

Ministers: Randy Woods, Jerry Holland and Jerry McKinley Holland

Interment: Couch's Fork Cemetery, Hyden, KY.

Visitatation: Friday, March 11, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. and all day Satuday until time of funeral at the Chuch
