Levi Lewis

Levi Lewis of Owl's Nest Road in Hyden passed away at his residence, Monday, Feb. 22, 2021. He was 68 years old. Levi was born April 24, 1952 in Perry County, KY., the son of Henry Lewis & the late, Thelma Burchum Lewis. Levi had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed fishing, dry-land fishing & spending time with his family especially his great-grandchildren.

Levi was preceded in death by his beloved mother, cherished son, Levi Lewis, Jr., brother, Rufus Lewis & 2 sisters, Oma & Pauline. He leaves the following relatives surviving; his beloved father, Henry Lewis, Hyden, KY., loving & devoted wife, Lois Jean Bailey Lewis, Hyden, KY., 1 cherished daughter, Michele Morgan & husband, Bobby, Stinnett, KY., 2 brothers, Garrett Lewis, Hyden, KY. & Jimmy Lewis, Hyden, KY., 3 sisters, Joanne Palumbo, Hyden, KY., Bonnie McDaniel, Big Creek, KY. & Mary Baker, Mozelle, KY., 2 treasured grandchildren, Destiny Nicole Kaplan & husband, Zack & Christian Cody Lewis & 2 treasured great grandchildren, Aliyah Kaplan & Ada Kaplan. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

A Celebration of Life for Levi Lewis will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, KY. Interment will follow at the Levi Lewis Family Cemetery on Owl's Nest Road in Hyden, KY.
