Mr. Lee Hoskins born December 9, 1949 ,at Beverly, Kentucky the son of the late, Johnny Hoskins and Mossie Collett Hoskins. He passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Lexington Veterans Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was 73 years old. Lee was a life-long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Essie, KY at the time of his passing. Lee served honorably in the United States Marine Corp. where he served 2 tours of duty in the Vietnam war and had earned 2 purple hearts. By occupation Lee had worked as a coal miner for Harlan Fuel & was a  self-employed carpenter. He was a referee for numerous basketball games & was a umpire for numerous softball & baseball games all in the 13th region for 30 years. Lee was an avid hunter & especially loved spending time with his family.

Lee was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Johnny & Mossie Collett Hoskins, 3 brothers, Roger, Bobby & Ervin Hoskins, 3 sisters, Hannah Mae Asher, Eunice Hoskins & Gracie Gross, 1 treasured grandson, Arlie Jacob Hoskins & his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Frank & Meredith Collett. He leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving & devoted wife of 51 years, Donna Collett Hoskins of Essie, KY, 1 cherished son, Tony Lee Hoskins of Essie, KY, 1 cherished daughter, Tonya Gail Davidson of Lawrenceburg, KY, 2 sisters, Armilda Smith of Beverly, KY & Roseann Brock of Bledsoe, KY, 5 treasured grandchildren, Kara Steely, Leanne & Josh Johnson, Brandon & Sarah Mae Asher, Connor Asher & Allie Davidson & 5 treasured great-grandchildren, Addison Faith Steely, Arlie Robert Gavin Hoskins, Jocelyn Esme Johnson, Jacob Reed Hoskins & Jackson Carter Lee Hoskins. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Monday, December 19, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bowens Creek Baptist Church, Essie, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Carl Brown & Rev. Cleveland Nolan    

Interment: Collett Cemetery, Essie, KY.

*Full Military Rites will be observed by the Leslie Co. DAV Chapter #133*

Pallbearers: Josh Johnson, Brandon Asher, Connor Asher, Mike Adams, Denver Brock & Tyler Wynn

Visitation: Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. at the Church
