Kenneth Couch, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 9, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was 75 years old. Born on March 26, 1950, in Hyden, Kentucky, Kenneth lived a life full of passion and dedication, both in his personal pursuits and his professional career as a heavy equipment operator.
Throughout his life, Kenneth found joy in a variety of hobbies that showcased his love for craftsmanship and the great outdoors. He was particularly passionate about restoring old cars, a hobby that allowed him to combine his technical skills with his artistic vision. Kenneth also had a deep appreciation for nature, often spending his time hunting and fishing. But above all, he cherished the moments spent with his family, creating memories that will remain in their hearts forever.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife, Evaleen Sizemore Couch, sons , Jerry Couch and Axel Couch & Angel, and daughters, Leslie Couch and Jacqueline Collett & Bo. Kenneth was also fiercely proud of his grandchildren: James Sizemore, Owen Collett & Mikala, Briana & Skyler and Julia, Eli, and Addie Collett, along with four great-grandchildren who brought additional joy to his life. His legacy extends to his god-daughter, Jaylyn Baker, and his brother, Paul Couch, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who were touched by his kindness and spirit.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Couch and Geneva Young Couch, and his brother, Jerry Couch. The memories and lessons he shared during his lifetime will undoubtedly resonate through the generations he leaves behind. His warm smile and generous heart will be deeply missed, but he will forever be remembered by those whose lives he enriched.
Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with George Abner officiating.
Visitation will also be on Wed. Jan. 14th at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
