Joyce Hoskins Mosley, of Asher, Kentucky, was born on December 15, 1937, in Asher and passed away at her residence on October 7, 2026. She will be remembered as a loving, friendly, and outgoing woman whose life was centered on her family, her work, and the many friendships she cherished.
Throughout her life, Joyce was known for her strong work ethic and her caring spirit. She was the co-owner of George C. Mosley and Joyce Trucking, and she also ran a home cooking restaurant for six years. In every role she held, she brought warmth and dedication, sharing her talents and hospitality with those around her. She especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends, simple joys that reflected the heart of who she was.
Among her proudest accomplishments was being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Those roles defined her life in the most meaningful ways, and she gave herself fully to the people she loved. Her kindness, welcoming nature, and devotion to her family will remain a lasting part of her memory.
She is survived by her sons, James Terry Mosley and George Clay Mosley Jr.; her daughter, Cathy Hubbard; her sister, Glenna Blackwell; and her granddaughter, Lisa Mosley, who was raised as a daughter. She leaves behind a family who knew her love, her strength, and her steady presence, and who will continue to carry her memory forward with gratitude and affection.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Mosley; her eldest son, Clyde Mosley; her father, Clyde Hoskins; her mother, Lucy Bowling Hoskins; and her stillborn identical twin sister, Joan. As her family remembers those who welcomed her home, they also honor the full circle of a life deeply rooted in love and family.
Joyce Hoskins Mosley will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
