Mr. Johnnie Turner of Wooton passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the age of 67. Johnnie was born August 2, 1951 in Breathitt Co., KY., the son of the late, Ollie James Turner & Fannie Stamper Turner. He had been a resident of Leslie Co. for the past 41 years. By occupation he was asst. manager for 20 years at Food Fair in Hyden, KY. & before that had worked at Big Elk Creek Strip Mine. Johnnie enjoyed gardening, taking care of his farm animals, playing horseshoes, being outside & spending time with family & friends.

Johnnie was preceded in death by, his parents, wife, Patricia Mae Payton Turner & brothers, Orville Lee Turner & Greenberry Turner. He leaves the following relatives surviving, 1 beloved son, Johnnie Baker & Edna Kink of Hyden, KY., 2 beloved daughters, Heidi Ervin & Greg of Wooton, KY. & Johnnie Faye Adams & Rodney Osborne of Hyden, KY., 2 brothers, Billy R. Turner of Wolfcoal, KY. & James Elliott Turner & Ann of Jackson, KY., 1 sister, Gladys Pelfrey of Jackson, KY., 6 treasured grandchildren, Deanna Adams Shepherd & Devin, Tyler Couch & K.K., Justin Adams, Hannah Couch, Trey Adams & Devan Baker & 1 treasured great grandchild, Parker Couch. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

 

 

Funeral: Sunday, May 26, 2019 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: John Newell

Interment: Turner Cemetery at Thousandsticks, KY.

Pallbearers: Tyler Couch, Justin Adams, Trey Adams, Greg Ervin, Devin Shepherd, Brandon Williams, Rodney Osborne & Trevor Joe Brock.

Visitation: Saturday, May 25, 2019 @ 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
