Joey Roberts

Mr. Joey Roberts of Stinnett, KY. passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY. He was 72 years old. Joey was born March 15, 1948 in Leslie Co., KY., the son of the late Floyd Roberts & Rose Nell Farmer Roberts. Joey had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. Joey was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam War. By occupation he was a retired coal miner having worked for Blue Diamond & Shamrock Coal Co. He was a member of the Stinnett Gap Church of God at Stinnett, KY. Joey enjoyed fishing & spending time with his family especially his treasured granddaughters & treasured great grandson.  

Joey was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Floyd & Rose Nell Roberts. He leaves the following relatives surviving; loving & devoted wife of 50 years, Lois Morgan Roberts, beloved daughter, Jennifer Roberts Witt, treasured granddaughters, McKenna Witt Cornett (Ricky) & Morgan Witt, a treasured great grandson, Jensen Wade Cornett, brother, Floyd Roberts, Jr. (Linda) & sister, Sherry Roberts. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral:Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stinnett Gap Church of God at Stinnett, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Geoffery Roberts, Rev. Mickey Roberts & Rev. Eugene "Friday" Roberts

Interment: Floyd Roberts Family Cemetery, Stinnett, KY.

Pallbearers: Robert Roark, Brad Ishmael, Chancelor Sizemore, Andy Disney, Travis Hacker, Alvin Morgan, Daniel Morgan & Tayton Lewis

Visitation: Friday, January 8, 2021 at 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the Church
