Joe Salyers

Joe Salyers passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY. He was 65 years old. Joe was born September 24, 1955 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Roscoe & Lula Woods Salyers. Joe had been a life-long resident of Bear Branch, KY. By occupation he had worked as a coal miner for 37 years. Joe enjoyed building camaros, car shows, coal mining & spending time with his family especially his boys, Joey & Kobe.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved parents, brother, E.C. Salyers & a host of aunts & uncles. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 47 years, Marilyn Morgan Salyers of Bear Branch, KY., his beloved son, Joey Salyers & his wife, Nikki & their son, his treasured grandson, Kobe Salyers of Bear Branch, KY., sister, Patricia Salyers Harris & Junior of Middlesboro, KY.,  niece, Sabrina Matthews & Chris, special great niece & nephew, Laryssa Matthews & Gavin Matthews & mother-in-law & father-in-law, Fern & David Morgan of Corbin. Also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, March 12, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Ministers: Kevin Napier, Ben Mosley & Scott Williams

Visitation: Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
