Joan Yvonne Melton

Joan Yvonne Melton, 66 passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Well's Hospice Center at Hazard, KY.  She was born on Nov. 18, 1953 at Wooton, KY the daughter of the late George and Martha Cornett Melton.  Joan was a life-long resident of Leslie County and had been a member of the McIntosh Church of God.  Joan enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music and had a favorite treasured Elvis Cup. She enjoyed having McDonald's Happy Meals, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, one beloved brother: George Steven Melton, and one great Nephew: Maxwell Maggard.  She is survived by the following relatives one beloved brother: Bill Melton (Debbie) of Wooton, KY, one beloved sister: Lois Maggard (Dave) of Wooton, KY, sister-in-law, Irene Melton, three treasured nieces: Vanessa Amburgey (Robert), Stephanie Hunt (Jason), Jennifer Annette Melton, five treasured nephews: Michael Keith Maggard, Reuben Kyle Maggard (Yaney), William Preston Melton (Robin), Eric Steven Melton (Jena) and George David Melton. Joan is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at the McIntosh Church of God at Wooton, KY

OFFICIATING MINISTERS: Clifton Adams and Donnie Melton

VISITATION: 12:00 Noon Saturday, February 15, 2020 until funeral hour at the church.

PLACE OF INTERMENT: Kilburn Cemetery at Wooton, KY
