Jimmy Harold Muncy

Jimmy Harold Muncy, born on January 6, 1980, at Mary Breckinridge Hospital in Hyden, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence in Bear Branch on February 15, 2026. Throughout his life, Jimmy was known for his friendly and outgoing personality, which endeared him to many and made those around him feel welcome and loved.

In his professional life, Jimmy worked diligently at Begley’s sawmill and also took on the responsibility of moving house trailers. Those who knew him witnessed not only his strong work ethic but also his dedication to providing for his family.

Jimmy cherished spending time with his family and friends, particularly enjoying moments spent fishing and visiting loved ones. He was a devoted father to his four daughters: Mackenzie Muncy, Lindsey Muncy, Kimberly Muncy, and Isabella Muncy. He took great joy in being a guiding presence in their lives. Alongside his daughters, he leaves behind his loving mother, Effie Muncy & Daddy Gene. His brother, Richard Muncy, also survives him, along with his special buddy, Finley Estep, and a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply mourn his absence.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Levi Muncy Jr., as well as his paternal grandparents: Beve and Goldie Muncy, and maternal grandparents: Homer Gibson and Lunie Couch Gibson. He is also preceded in death by a host of maternal and paternal uncles.

Jimmy's warmth and love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness and devotion to his family will forever remain a guiding light to those left behind.

The visitation for Jimmy Harold Muncy will take place on February 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Hal's Fork Holiness Church, located at 32539 US-421, Bear Branch, KY 41714. Following the visitation, his funeral service will be held at the same location on February 19, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM with Jerry McKinley Holland, Jerry Holland, Randy Woods, and Joey Burns officiating.
