Mr. Jimmy Darrell Couch born August 28, 1948 departed this life on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital.  He was 70 years old.  Jimmy Darrell was born in Perry Co., Ky., the son of the late Orville Couch & Audrey Bowling.  Jimmy Darrell was a graduate of Leslie Co. High School and a 1975 graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, Louisville, Ky.,  He was an employee of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Ky., for over 40 years.  He was well known and respected throughout Leslie Co for his professionalism & compassion.  He served thousands of families during his career with genuine concern, dignity & humility. Jimmy Darrell also served honorably as Deputy Coroner of Leslie County since 1982 until his retirement in 2016.  Jimmy Darrell was a member of the Rockhouse Baptist Church, Hyden, Ky.  Jimmy Darrell was very involved in local & community activities.  He served as President and on the board of the following organizations; L.K.L.P., the Leslie Co. Jaycees Chapter, Leslie County Fish and Game Club & the Quarterback Club.  Jimmy Darrell was an avid University of Ky. football and basketball fan.  Jimmy Darrell's greatest joy however came from spending time with family and grandchildren.  Jimmy Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; Lester, Ray Lee, Johnny, Orville Jr. , one adopted brother; Lester Couch, four sisters; Lonzie Couch, Wanda Feltner, Mauda Woods and Laura Collett.  Mr. Jimmy Darrell Couch leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving and devoted wife; Brenda Pace Couch of Hyden, Ky., two beloved sons; Dr. Jimmy Edward Couch & wife, Sara of Paducah, Ky.,  Dr. Jonathan Darrell Couch and wife, Ingrid of Paducah, Ky., two beloved daughters; Alyssa Bowling of Wendover, Ky., Kimmberly Stewart & husband, Cecil of Manchester, Ky., three sisters; Lois Begley, who was like his mother, & husband, Everett of Hyden, Ky., Louise Couch & Elmer of London, Ky., Bertha Ann Gay of London, Ky., five treasured grandchildren; Kade William Krimple, Jack Edward Couch, Andrew Jonathan Couch, Preston Steven Couch, Samuel Adren Couch & a host of other nieces, nephews - including a nephew like a brother, honorary pallbearer;  Arville Dwayne Feltner, other relatives and friends.

TIME AND PLACE OF FUNERAL: 7:00 P.M. - Thursday - August 1, 2019 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky.

TIME AND PLACE OF VISITATION: 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Thursday - August 1, 2019 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Ky.

PLACE OF ENTOMBMENT: Napier - Sizemore Cemetery, Dryhill, Ky.

PALLBEARERS: Darrell Caldwell, Wayne Ed Bowling, Larry Dixon, Greg Wells, Joey Lewis, Butch Barger & Leonard Brashear

HONORARY PALLBEARER: Arville Dwayne Feltner (nephew)

In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations may be made to the Anonymous Hope, a Scholarship Fund founded by Dr. Jim Ed and Dr. Jonathan Couch which is awarded to  Leslie County Students for the use towards their College Pursuits.
