Jeannie Christine Hoskins May, 72, born August 11, 1954, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, in the comfort of her home.
Jeannie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a wonderful homemaker who cherished her family and friends dearly. Her love extended to everyone she met, but above all, Jeannie's love for the Lord was immeasurable. She never met a stranger and had a heart full of kindness, compassion, and faith. She lived her life with love and never hesitated to pray for those around her.
Jeannie is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, James T. May Jr.; her three sons, Joshua (Paige) May, James T. May III, and Arthur (Robin) May; her sisters, Melissa (Nathan) Hubbard and Faye Bowling; her brother, Eddie Dean Hoskins; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Homer Hoskins, and 3 sisters Ruth Hall, Geraldine Hoskins, and Eyvone Hoskins.
Jeannie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, family, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her love, laughter, prayers, and unwavering faith will forever be treasured.
Jeannie was affiliated with the Middlefork Pentecostal Church and the Mozelle Pentecostal Church. She had strong faith and constantly prayed for other people. She enjoyed watching Pastor John Hagee, facebook and youtube.
Funeral: Friday, September 11, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
Ministers: Tim Finley and Tommy Hubbard
Interment: Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery South East, Hyden, KY.
Pallbearers: Joshua May, James T May III, Arthur May and Lane May
Visitation: Friday, Sept. 11th at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
