Janice W. Griffith

Janice W.  Adams Griffith age 87 of Wooton passed away September 1, 2022 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center.  Janice was born December 10, 1934 in Wendover, Kentucky to Marion Adams and Alabam Coots Adams. Janice was a life-long resident of Leslie County where she was a homemaker.  Janice enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Griffith, father Marion Adams, mother Alabam Coots Adams, brothers:  Cova, Coy, Caffee, Arthur, Willard, Donnie, Lonnie and an infant brother, sisters: Zilpha Morgan, Lelia Napier, Grace Fields, Fern Chappell and Verda Gross. Surviving siblings  are: Oria Adams of Hyden, Jeanette Adams of Fortuna, California, Shirley Callahan of Wooton, Daisy North of Stinnett, Nancy Howard and husband Benny of northern Kentucky.

Janice is also survived by her four children:  Larry Griffith of Wooton,  Glenna Wooten of  Bulan,  Leonard Dwayne Griffith (Patsy) of Arkansas, and Rita Brooksher (Steve) of Georgia.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren Mark David Griffith of Wooton,  Michelle Burgess  (Alan) of Hazard, Michael Wooten of Richmond, Monica Barker (Gary) of Bulan, Jennifer Cobb (Seth)of Arkansas, Eric Griffith of Arkansas, Tamara Rosario (Sam) of Washington, Brian Klein (Jessica) of Georgia, and Kristina Cole of Georgia.  Janice was blessed with ten great grandchildren: Whitney Adams, Dylan Adams, Cassidy Adams, Jacob Adams, Bianca Griffith, Emerson Klein, Jackson Cole, Kya Cole, Avery Barker, and Aaron Barker.  She is also survived by four great great grandchildren:  Aubrey Montgomery, Ashton Montgomery, Loraleai Adams, and Arabella Griffith.

Funeral: Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Eric Evans

Interment: Singleton Cemetery, Wendover, KY.

Visitation: Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 at 12:00 Noon until time of funeral at the Funeral Home Chapel
