Mr. James Wilbert Turner of Nicholasville, Kentucky departed this life on August 20, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was 55 years old. He was born March 24, 1970 in Hazard, Kentucky to Ned and Lillian Rose Overstreet Turner. He was a truck driver of nearly 35 years. He enjoyed preaching the gospel many of those years in truck stops. He believed in the salvation of Jesus Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith. He was known for his love of feeding people and supporting the mission field. He loved his three little dogs, his precious Little Miss, Snowball and Stomper.
He is preceded in death by his mother Rose Turner, uncle, Kenneth Turner and his Granny, Lillie Turner. He leaves the following surviving, his wife, of 12 years, Brenda Burge Turner, children, Cassie Turner, James W. Turner II (AKA Buzz), Felicity McWhorter, husband, Max, step daughter, Kim Hensley, grandchildren, Jayven & Leiland Burge; brothers: Douglas Turner (Lilly) and Ned Turner Jr.; sister: Saundra Begley (Rodger); sister-in-law, Linda Burge, niece: Stephanie Miller; special brother-in-law: Jeff Burge. He also leaves special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Hyden Health and Rehab Center, Hyden, KY., with Rev. Ned Turner and Rev. Douglas Turner officiating.
